Saw the first episode RAW the minute it came out, it certainly didn’t disappoint, and I ended up enjoying it much more than I anticipated, it was pretty silly, but lots of fun, there were some pretty good fights in there too. The character designs and style will take some adjusting to, for some (pretty…eccentric…), but I thought they were “intriguing” to say the least…they did put me off at first, but I’ve grown to like them. For the most part it seemed like they just introduced us to, or gave us a small taste of all the characters (but there’s more from what I understand…). Plenty of people have said this, but Toori sure does seem smug… (and perverted, of course) but a pretty good start overall (but I think I’d enjoy it more with subs…SENTAI!), and I’m interested in seeing where the plot goes, since I hear it’s pretty complex (it sounds crazy just reading over the synopsis…).

PV for the upcoming album featuring Elsie and Haqua, not a whole lot too it, it seems, cute girls doing cute things. I do loooooooooooove KamiNomi though. 

* just exactly what is the correct spelling of “Elsie’s” name…? I’ve seen it spelt so many different ways…*

And here’s another PV…a new album for Kanon, seems as though it too is going to bundle some sort of music video, awesome! I find it pretty cool how they’re treating Kanon like  REAL idol, she’s had an album released not too long, and it wasn’t half bad…

And last but not least, screen caps from the upcoming OVA. Now where’s my third season!?

Well, the animation quality is what’s really grabbed me! It’s fascinating to see how far digitalized animation has come since the first season of Shana back in 2005. And as you may well know, this is the final season of Shana. I belive the final light novel is supposed to come out next month. It seems like this franchise been around for so long… its almost hard to belive it’s ending…(for me at least) but I’m still very excited in seeing how it all wraps up…I guess I’ll get around to skimming through the previous seasons before this starts airing *excited gelo*!

This was without a doubt what I was looking forward to most from Comiket 80! The BokuTachi PV! And I’m pretty impressed. Compared to some images released earlier, the art looks much closer to Buriki’s own, while not perfect of course… Not sure if I mentioned this before or not, but animation is being handled by the AIC Build, the studio responsible for OreImo. And lots of the animation team is pretty much made up of some major members from Sora no Otoshimono, and we all know I LOVED that show (no, I’m not being sarcastic…). This is my most anticipated fall anime at the moment, but TBH I can’t remember any of the upcoming anime to save my life… but I’ll try to not get too excited (cause it’ might just end up in a disappointment).

As for me, I’d have to go with Mawaru Penguindrum, or Mayo Chiki. But Idol M@ster isn’t too bad either, and the latest episode did feel like a bit of an improvment over the last… so far, it’s rather hard to pick favorites (which is why I decided to let you pick up to three choices…), but as the season closes, there are bound to be a few shows here and there that fall apart… (as negative as the sounds…), let’s just hope not though… Vote away~

I just felt the urge to write another post for this week… I don’t think I’ll be doing much of anything here in between these short review collections, so I’ll try to keep up with them for the time being . They’re also a good way to occupy some free time… (even though I’ve been running short on that lately…). But it’s rather silly that just about everything here airs on thursday…

Baka to Test to Shokanjuu Ni! 02

Alright, two episodes of idiocy, can we just get to some battles now…? The little “extra” episodes are always entertaining, but like I’ve said before, the summon battles are so much more clever and slick…but boy, Baka-Test sure does love to play around with traps, a good chunk of the episode was focused on cross dressing…Yoshii and Kouta didn’t look half bad (does that make me…naaaw…), but Yuji on the other hand…I just hope he never cross dresses again, he’s just not made for it…however, his contest entry was easily the most amusing fo the three. It was entertaining to see someone besides Hideyoshi involved in the trap antics.

The Idol M@ster 02

Since the project is just getting starting, not a whole lot is going on, and I’m rather shocked that I find the show entertaining…watching the characters interact must be whats keeping me entertained, it’s hard to hate any of them. But I suppose the whole idol concept and watching them make their way up is also rewarding. They might be idols in the making, but Iori and her flat-chested companions are still just kids at heart (especially compared to the others), and quite honestly I don’t think they’re ready for such a big gig. The group as a whole is looking to improve their image after some “charming” photos, but the DFC alliance is also looking for some sex appeal…(and they ended up looking a hot mess as a result… ) in the end everything boiled down to just “being yourself”… I wonder what lolis find so appealing about Z cups…I guess it’s pretty noteworthy that they briefly showed Touma, from the boy band-thing Jupiter. I guess they’ll end up getting a storyline too… I think they’d make for some pretty good rivals and way to get the story going later on (even if they’re just a bunch of assholes).

Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi 02

They added more detail to Taito and Himea’s back story, such as how they were separated and how Taito forgot about Himea, etc etc. Most of the episode was focused on them fighting, and there was a decent amount of action. Things picked up from where the last episode left off,  Himea just healed herself right back up though…in the middle of their fight they’re interrupted by Hinata, Gekkou’s brother the same guy who erased Taito’s memory… Taito almost died for a minute there, but we knew that wasn’t about to happen… but did I miss anything? because I’m kinda wondering what happened between the fight, and Taito “waking up” in school, I’m also curious about his lives as well… so many questions~ (maybe I shouldn’t multi-task) and since this is a magical girlfriend show, Himea of course shows up at Taito’s school… which doesn’t exactly please Haruka  (based on the opening, I suppose Haruka has got some special powers too~)…. Gekkoku also makes Taito his slave… they’ve got some explanin’ to do next episode…

Mawaru Penguindrum 02

I’m not even gonna lie, the penguins are (still) one of the biggest charm points of this show (for me…). Can’t you really hate these little things!? They’re so much fun to watch~Meanwhile… I’m still over here trying to figure out what I’m watching… although, I am getting a much better hang of things compared to the last showing, this episode seemed to make so much more sense… Shouma and Kanba send the penguins out to find Ringo (since they’re invisible to everyone else), who has the penguindrum they so desperately need (despite not knowing what it really is…) . Their adventures were generally lighthearted (and not at all a bad way to go about peeking), but i’m assuming that the penguindrum is more than likely the diray Ringo was writing about destiny and her love (for her teacher…) in…. However… Ringo takes stalking to a whole level, she’s so in love with her teacher that she lives under his house, and scales a store just to take a picture of a bird’s nest, to impress him…that’s some deep love right there…I was thinking she was just your run-of-the-mill highschool girl but I dunno now…

Mayo Chiki! 02

OTL Subaru is too cute for her own good… Being a heathy (kind of…) teenage boy, I’m a little surprised Kinjirou didn’t use his butler ticket to fulfill one of his wild sexual fantisies… (although he would’ve bled out afterwards…)but I suppose getting Subaru to shout “MEEEEEEEH” was a good trade-off (too cute…). One thing I love about this show is that it never seems to take itself too seriously, for example, just as Kureha is about to beat Subaru to a pulp, she’s gets drop kicked… The date, controlled by Kanade was pretty succesful though, seeing as Kinjirou seems to be comfortable around Subaru, however… Kureha falls in love with “him”, Subaru despite believing that Kinjirou has an interest in “him”… And with the two getting more acquainted, they’ve been hanging around a whole lot more, which of course leads everyone to belive that they’re gay for eachother…and it doesn’t help that Kinjirou performed Subaru’s physical for “him” (just to keep the secret on the down-low). But it’s nice to see that they’ve both got each other’s backs.

R-15 02

2nd episode in, and it’s already wearing thin on me. The episode focused on Utae, the pop idol girl of the school of “geniuses” (more like mental institution), she’s the most seemingly normal among the characters introduced thus far, minus Taketo’s crush, and I do kind of like her, more or less  because she’s just nice. Like I said, this time around, it’s not too amusing, it really feels like they’re just recycling the same joke over and over again (perverted fantasy, slapstick, haha!), and when they try something “new”, it’s never really funny, at all. Maybe it’s just my sense of humor even so, it has its rare moments and TBH, I kinda just flipped through after a while…but the one saving grace of this show are those delicious beams of light, mmmmmhmmm~ :9

*oh yes, and I meant to say sunday… not saturday….*

Yeah… the video is more than likely going to get the axe in a few minutes after I publish this… I’d pre-written a post earlier about the OP, but just as I was about to press the “publish” button, it was gone… ( I had to check the link before it went up, just to be safe…)

Buuuut I’m digging the OP, it’s a pretty catchy little tune, and the animation they’ve got going on behind it is pretty cute. The dance is definitely the high-point of course (nice moves, and superb animation~), those outfits are also pretty charming. Since this week’s episode was focused on Iroi and her DFC militia, they also had a special ED play (and being Idol master, there’s bound to be more), but TBH I wasn’t feeling it (but right now I’m tuning  out to a variety of songs from the second game…).

I’m also in the midst of constructing another “commentary” post. Much like last week, I should have it up tomorrow night. I’m just waiting for Itsu-Ten, Baka-Test, and R-15 subs to surface~ (everything else is pretty much written and screen-caped).

Yeah… I’m still a little confused,  from what I gather it’s some sort of short 18 page manga coming with the upcoming movie. Supposedly it’s going to be an alternate ending, to the manga…which hasn’t even ended yet… I’m kind of wondering if this means Negima is going to end soon…in all honesty, I’m kinda tired of the magic world arc at this point… and considering that this movie is going to be the last animated feature… :/ *sad gelo* I really wish the previous adaptations weren’t all over the place… (but I did enjoy Negima!? a lot.).

And for those who don’t know, the Negima movie is part of this double-billing mess with the Hayate Movie… (which I also kinda want to see…)

So… I think everything I have just about remote interest in has aired by now, so here’s my thoughts on the season thus far in a nutshell  (or anything I want to write about…) . I’m thinking I’ll write them every 3 weeks/episodes or so…but we’ll see how that format works out… let’s just go with it for now…

 Baka to Test to Shokanjuu Ni! 01

A great way to get back in the swing of things. As expected, the first episode was hilarious! There’s not a whole lot to say seeing as the show runs joke after joke (story, what story?), and I’d rather not spoil a single one…yes, we dived right into the beach episode, not that I’m complaining… but the majority of the episode was spent on Yoshii and Yuji trying to hit on girls, and being the idiots they are, failing. They’re too blind to realize they’ve already got a decent gaggle of girls going on (and a hideyoshi…). But Kouta was macking hard with the girls /brofist/! The silent pervert strikes again~ As much I’d love for a summon battle to happen, with them being the strong point of the show, it looks as though we’ll have to endure another battle-less episode next week.

The Idol M@ster 01

Well… interesting first episode, the reality show-esque introduction for all of the characters was rather fun, and did a pretty job with getting us to know all of their characters since I don’t think there’s a whole lot to them in the first place… Ritsuko sure has got a lot on her hands… Uh… honestly don’t have a whole lot to say about this. The way the dialogue was set up was also fairly amusing, with P-san (as I’ll call him…) or the producer, communicating through subtitles. For a while it got a little weird, but they gave him a voice in the end (and a face), so it’s all good. However I did find it to be a pretty interesting format, more or less giving the feel of the games. Overall, It was really fun, I’m interested in seeing what they’ll do with 25 episodes, even though I honestly can’t say I’m expecting much, it seems like it’ll just be a fun ride.

Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi 01

Decent first episode, although I must bring up the questionable censorship “censor some girls standing there, but let the cameltoe run wild.” yes, that makes perfect sense… It may only be the first episode but I was so happy when Taito and Himea were reunited, (but Himea is just a little bit creepy, but that’s probably just me…) but then she gets stabbed .__. good going guys…and that preview felt so out-of-place… blood and guts, and all of sudden … yes, ruin the suspenseful mood…also couldn’t help but laugh at Taito’s head just rolling around~

Mawaru Penguindrum 01

Where do I start with this….? It was bizzare…not gonna really get into the plot since I was lost about %99.5 of the episode…but the visual design was “O_O”. The colors are very bright, which me likes, but the bgs are very cluttered, I feel like they’re trying to be artistic ,it looks very pretty and all, but it’s just got a lot going on…on the other hand, the animation is very nice. But like I said, I couldn’t comprehend what was going on…and I kinda just died from confusion towards the end, but the kiss was *doesn’t know what to say…* …but with 24 episodes, they’ve got plenty of time to explain themselves~ however, I think I should just fess up now…I’m watching it for the penguins…

Mayo Chiki! 01

A very good start to the show. It was pretty fun, and it made the best out the harem clichés. I know there’s a bunch of people who would watch just for Subaru, but it in all honestly, I’ve got my eyes settled on Kanade. Kinjirou isn’t that far from your typical lead (hopeless, clueless), but he doesn’t really make me want to strangle him (perhaps I’m just immune to spineless leads at this point…) … I guess I should also take note of the animation, it was really good all around(and is even dynamic at times) , it’s very colorful as well. If it continues as being as fun, tasteful, and good-looking as it is, I think that Mayo Chiki could very well end up being one of my favorites this season!

R-15 01

Looking for a bit of shameless T&A this season!? well, look somewhere else…cuz it’s all censored… but minus the sexy beams of light, it was still “amusing”. However, the idea of a teenager who looks like he’s about 10 years old writing porn feels wrong…oh so wrong… (and then we’ve got his little crush… who looks like she should be in grade-school…) but it managed to squeeze a few cheap laughs out of me (and with a plot this ridiculous…) , no matter how many times they beat the same joke over and over again… (ABUSE!) It seems like a pretty good mindless show. And is Ritsu really a guy…? I’m confused… if those kids a freakin’ geniuses, then what does that make me…?

and on that note, I will try to be back with another one of these posts sometime in the future… (which could be who knows how long from now…).

*I don’t think I’ll talk about everything I’m watching…these few shows ^ are good enough atm…*

But K-ON still seems to be pretty well off…and I’m amazed by the lack of Madoka characters (in the top 10 or 20 for that matter…) with its crazy popularity an all… maybe they weren’t included in the list…
