The newest Touhou anime project is another music video being produced by the dojin circle Kinema-Kan. The quality of the video is really superb and some of the best I’ve seen in a dojin anime project. Even though this is a music video, the quality is far superior to that of the Touhou OVA. I’d really like to see this, so hopefully the full video will be posted somewhere online. The DVD will be released at March 14th’s special Touhou event known as Reitaisai.
Things like these just make me want a FULL Touhou anime even more…
I just checked out NekoMagic and found out that there are some very nice Bakemonogatari products coming in the near future!!! My wallet is set, and I will be lowering my anime purchases in order to keep meh mula in order. I’ve become a Bakemonogatari fan recently <—— 0v0u…
The thing I had my eye on was the figure being made by GoodSmileCompany, it seems really intricately produced and well made. I’m definitely going to be keeping my eyes on them to make sure I can get my hands on them. I’m hoping that the other figure will be made by Alter.
Hopefully the rest of the cast will get some nice figure treatment!
Something ‘new’ that I’m working on in addition the top ten pages. I’ve wanted to make some pages like this, but had never gotten around to it. Special pages focusing and highlighting certain artists whose art I find very appealing.I’ll post some of the artists’ artwork(maybe even make a zip file/rar with even more pics) and write som things about the artist and my personal thought on their art.Obviously the first one will be Kantoku.
I’d like to get a page of these done and updated at least once every month, maybe around the middle of each moth-the end.

the latest figure to come out from the K-ON! universe is this lovely Mio Akiyama PVC which features her in her costume worn in the ending theme “Dont say ‘lazy’”
This figure looks really nice. The pose is awesome and the sculpt is really nice, seems detailed. But so far, the PVC lacks quality in the paint department…the dress in particular. But despite that it looks nice overall and it’s something I wouldn’t mind buying onceI get some things out of the way. And apparently some of the dress is going to be semi-transparent, so that’ll be interesting, and hopefully along with this they’ll add more detail.
KyotoAnimation is going to release the Akiyama Mio ( 秋山 澪 ) 1/8 PVC figure from the manga/anime “K-ON!” ( けいおん！ ). Will be released in July 2010. Around 216mm tall, 8,000 yen (taxed in). Pre-order will be taken at 12:00pm on February 6, 2010 (Japan local time). Kyoani Shop exclusive.
YEY~ The Gelotaku9 Anime and Manga has officially reached the 10,000 mark!! (and maybe a few hundred more hits). But is it good that we’ve gotten as many hits as we have in 7 months? The hits here have gone up a bit each month as well, for this blog anyway…XD. Last month we had 3,772 hits, pretty good for this sort of new blog.
I’m working on the TOP 10 page, which is new, I wonder if I can get it done before the weekend is over…
The anime/manga collection page has been removed, but still working on it, just decided to remove it since nothing was being posted there…but will put it up soon!!!
To-Love-Ru OVA 5 (review?) is coming soon~ along with Mayoi Neko Overrun chapters 1-2, I also would like to try reviewing the new Negima Chapter.

As you all know, there are some manga out there which have been running for an almost ‘ridiculous’ amount of time. And I think some of us would like to see some of these series come to an end, one-and-for-all. Below I’ve made a list/poll of long running mangas/animes, you can vote up 1 series~ and if ya have the time, try to explain at least a small reason why you think a certain series should end.
BTW- Negima is not as long as some of the others mentioned here, but it’s pretty long, so I just added it, for fun XP. And I really only added the mainstream long series.
As you all know…Omamori Himari was the anime I was avoiding to watch this season…but this trailer for the “hardcore” chapter of the series has made me re-think skipping it…the animation is nice, and it seems kind of interesting…perhaps I should watch this?
I’m bored…and as you can see…I’ve decided to skip out on the anime reviews for last week…mainly Baka-Test. But I will do a two episode review this weekend…that is if family doesn’t unexpectedly come by and use up my valuable blogging time…again…
But, the newest Chapter of Mayoi Neko Overrun is out~! it came out just yesterday, and of course I had to get it, whether it was RAW or not…I’m not exactly a good Japanese reader…but I’m bored and have nothing to do…so I’ll write about what I think is going on in this chapter…when the chapter is out scanlated, I’ll write an offical review if I can get the time.
It seems like the focus of this chapter is focused on the residential tsundere of the series, Fumino, and her feelings toward the protagonist of the series Takumi. Since I don’t know what’s going on here(or at least not don’t really…) I’ll post some pics/highlights SOME.
Tsundere~ this facial expression reminds me so much of Yui from To-Love-Ru…Yui~ but since Yabuki is working on this series…
The “stray-cat Takumi’s sister picked up comes to his school(SHOCK). Which she may prove to be a challenge for Fumino~
As expected, the newest Bakemonogatar DVD/Blu-Ray has crushed all other TV anime in terms of sales, overall, the Blu-Ray discs alone have sold 48,000 copies in it’s first week of release, while the DVDs have sold somewhere are 22,000 perhaps giving the DVD/Blu-Ray a grand total of 70,000 copies (about)sold in one week alone. Really impressive sales here just for the copies sold in-store. Nadeko snake has sold really well online as with most online retailers selling out within the first few days of the DVDs release. But it’s not a shock since 1.) the Bakemonogatari anime has been explosively popular, and 2.) the DVD/BD has tons of re-draws and completed scenes in comparison to the TV version.
In total for the first 4 Blu-Ray discs alone, there have been 198,000 copies sold. I wonder how many copies the series will have sold when the last two DVDs have been released…
